Putting the bins out

This is just a little descriptive piece to exercise the old writing muscles. As the title suggests it is about someone putting the bins out… about me actually, but I’ve written in a third person perspective because I think it works better, like someone is watching out of their window and notices something. I hope you like it…

Dragging three black bags across the drive, she is exhausted, obviously fed-up. With all her strength she hoists them up one by one into the bin. Closing the lid she looks up to the sky before her. The sun is setting earlier than usual, silhouetting the trees, edging the clouds with gold. The winds of change are in the air as summer transistions into autumn; she looks on with hope, wanting the winds of change to affect her life as well as the seasons. But with a sigh she turns away and heads back inside.
